SO, CONNECTICON.
Most of what Quinn and I ended up doing was wandering around looking at other people's cosplay. that was quite a lot of fun in itself, though! Some win: Femme!Sam and Dean (in line while we were waiting to register; I pegged it when Dean flipped open her prop shotgun); Jecht and several Aurons (didn't see a Braska, though); Yuna; X2-flavor Rikku; BLU Medic; lots of TF2, actually; Rincewind and Twoflower, with Luggage; THE TINIEST R2-D2; Coraline's Other Mother staffing a t-shirt booth. (She offered Quinn button eyes, Quinn said they were probably an Artifact, she squeed and asked us for a photo.)
Win we got photos of/with:
A gaggle of revolutionaries (they were
handing out flyers);
Moist and Spike, who we're 99% sure were Rincewind and Twoflower on Friday;
Red and Snow.
I went to Neil Grayston's Q&A panel on Friday, which was small but mighty. And he said he
would be back on Warehouse 13 (he knows the plan and everything)... IF THEY HAD MORE THAN SIX EPISODES. CURSES. He did also say he'd try to pester the writers into releasing the unfilmed scripts when all's said and done.
After that was the signing booth, and the highlight of my weekend: I strolled up to the table and went "Doug! Long time no see! How you been, buddy?" and he rolled with it. :D :D :D Secondary highlight was him following up with 'actually, I think I saw you around when I was eating lunch.'
So I'm just gonna leave this right here.
