Yes, thank you, Viking hordes, I really needed that when I had absolutely no materials for that cause with me.
But other than that, and... you know, the fact that I was traveling for the purpose of funeral services... this visit hasn't been too bad. My cousin said she could tell I'm happier now that I've moved.
and now, a picture )
And now, for something completely different: Operation Let's Build a Goddamn Tesla Museum. If this doesn't blow past the goal by the end of the first week I will be very surprised. (Also, they should sell the Tesla > Edison bumper stickers on their own.)

I am now officially done, other than turning in Bohemian Politics and History of English, which I don't think I'll be able to do until Monday. At least now I know I can finish everything by the seniors' deadline.
Meanwhile, inn-based hijinks remain v. entertaining, though I don't quite know what brought this one on. (I'm also at a loss re: icons, so if the peanut gallery has suggestions, they'd be appreciated.)
I think now is when I resize photos what I took when Quin was here.

And now, it's iconography time.
Get Your Geek On and Drag Ball pictures )
In other news, I'll be in Phillyish for part of spring break. ...And the drilling outside my room NEEDS TO STOP ARGH.

HOGFATHER SCREENCAPS.
Whoever wrote the synopsis has the plot slightly sideways, and Peachy and Catseye seem to have been cut out. But on the whole, yay; icons may follow, once Hex is better.
(Some way to watch this MUST be found. Simply has to be.)

Okay, self? First of all, your brain is a silly silly place, and second: HOW did you forget you had Chihuly pictures on your computer? (Also, old cars.)
But that's not what I'm here to show you.
I came to talk about the draft-- no, wait, show off my room. )

So I make a habit of clearing out my spam, if only because I don't want to wait 30 days for it to be automatically dumped. And when I checked my mail earlier this afternoon, it said there was one new piece of spam, so I clicked.
And I just *had* to screencap it. Small, but still a picture. )
Please note that there is only one L there.
...I think I'm scared now, esp. thanks to the plot floater.
minkhollow: (terrified houseplants)
Right, so. Remember this?
I do in fact have pictures, but I just got them off my camera last week, and onto my own computer yesterday. So now, I give you the Tree'd Dorm Saga.
they're not that big, but there are five pictures, so. )

We finally got the Jelly Pudding Show people to play Mom's long-standing request. (I called, told them it's Mother's Day besides being her birthday Wednesday, and she hadn't heard it in 20 years.) Good song, that one. 'S what today's Name That Tune is from.
Everything old is out of the kitchen except for the fridge. And some of the new floor is down! ::falls over dead:: But after my shower I broke out the crayons - that part is Ji's fault entirely - and now have a guided tour of the kitchen for y'all. (Big pictures.)

Paper is done, and just over five pages. (Typo of the day: 'hat facts and figures.') Can now concentrate on other things, for a while.
Also, the locker sign, as promised earlier:
suspect Photobucket resized it, and even with that it's bound to be a large file. )
Incidentally, I'm not sick of this song yet. and to be fair I had "Come Downstairs and Say Hello" on while I was in my room working on the paper, but apparently the computer has issues with the multimedia-wossname on the CD and wouldn't let me do anything outside of iTunes. So I stuck this song on the computer and got the CD out.

'Cause Edward Gorey artwork is straaange. And these two examples (both from Amphigorey Also) match up rather well with a couple of my choice fandoms. They're a bit on the large side, methinks, so LJ cuts to spare slow-modem types.
for the Discworld types (Dr. Cruces seems to have fallen in the ho-ho.) )
and one for the GO types )
Oh, and while I had the scanner going I stuck something in for icon(ograph) purposes. Not posting the results of that till tomorrow, I don't think.

You know what [livejournal.com profile] theatrical_muse needs?
Gaspode. And Maurice (and a few of the rats while we're at it). I mean, really, they already got at least two cats, a dog, and a CAR. Why not?
You know what the RPage needs?
Ginger. I'm not starting a journal for her, too - two journals in one RPG is a limit. I do much more than that and I might lose what sanity I've got.
ETA: more fun with notecards. )
ETA^2: Was just browsing previously-mentioned community. HOLY CRAP [livejournal.com profile] bouncing_seamus HAS ADE'S ICON(OGRAPH)!! (The RPage types will fully understnad the need for caps and !!, I think.)

Well, when I wasn't telling people about the discovery that there's a movie about someone I'm somehow related to... there was notecard snarkage.
Bound to happen when I've got two projects requiring the blessed things. So, instead of telling you directly how my day was, I'll let them do the talking. WARNING: extremely large pics, apparently. Didn't realize they were as such. )
Pretty snarky day, on the whole. Left Thief of Time (my current reread) at home, so I had to make it up as I went along.
Goign to read now. Or possibly write some more.
