So [livejournal.com profile] katmaxwell gave me some icons to explain. That shall follow; if anyone wants to hear about more, comment with them. Conversely, if you want me to ask about your icons, just comment. XD
my life in pictures, sort of )
Little else to report, other than I hope my midterms don't eat me alive, and my current music gave me a plot bunny like you wouldn't believe over the weekend.

I have a mission for those of you whom I have not yet inflicted this on (and those who've seen it, if you want to see a version with better dubbing). Someday, when you have about an hour to spare, hit up Youtube and watch all of this. )
It will explain a lot about the inner workings of my brain. And I am so glad it's on there, seeing as I can't play my DVD on Hex.

...So not only is Help! finally on DVD, but so's A Wish for Wings that Work.
I'm seriously on the verge of searching for Bernard and the Genie. It's like. Childhood Staples On Media I Can Watch On Hex season.
--UPDATE: BERNARD AND THE GENIE TOTALLY IS ON DVD NOW WHAT THE HELL IS THIS NONSENSE. Guess I'm calling the parents later. XD
Now, if Steven Banks Home Entertainment Center can just get a release...

So the spaghetti was awesome, as was the geekery (though Funny Thing Happened and Steven Banks still rather need to be shown to people). Also, cinnamon rolls!
However, I have no idea where my paper-writing-fu went off to. This may pose a slight problem.
ETA: Paper conquered, and in my quest for how to do MLA citation this was the first thing that came up. I love the interwebs.

So, yeah. First day of classes; looks like I'm in that anthro class, and it shall be AWESOME. We get to do a thinger about slang on campus! (Though if I get a Renegade conversation in there... how to convey the flailing that goes with 'ROCKS!!'? Hmm.)
Inflicted Steven Banks on people yesterday. Turns out the dubbing is slightly off, in places, but it still explains a lot about me, in its way. XD
I should organize my books, now that I have 'em all. And I found the mother's Christmas present yesterday.

Have answered the siren call of Photoshop and made some Steven Banks icons (thanks again for the screencaps, Crystal); this only got me through 170ish of a possible 1172 captures, so there will undoubtedly be more.
meanwhile, a small taste of the fun for y'all. )

GIP of sorts; I've used it in a couple of Milliways-related things, but that's it so far. This, for those not in the know, is the infamous Steven Banks. (MHC types, we'll need to figure out when and where to watch, at some point. XD)
In today's 'oh yeah, THAT was it!' department: I didn't realize how much I missed [livejournal.com profile] ghostsoldier's art posts until today's. Go look, everyone, 'tis awesome.
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (and mark's like wtf mate?)
::pokes Hex:: Why do you not want to read Steven Banks? I know it's on the disc. And I want to make silly icons. ('Spect it's a language conflict, or somesuch. But still.)
Also: Dear people somehow connected with Rent, would you PLEASE knock it off with the Juilliard thing? So much of the backstory flailing on my end. ::is somewhat amused, really, but::
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (smock)
So. Conclusion from semi-obsessive listening to the first half of Rent*: Roger has too much angst for his own good.
Conclusion from bloody Victorian lit: It all would have gone so much better if that governess had just taken a poker to the ghosts. Unfortunately, the Susan approach wasn't well known at the time.
Conclusion from art history reading: All this stuff to make one point? Yeesh.

*I blame it on Angel moving into my head. ::shrugs:: At least I got anti-angst out of the deal. XD
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (the smell of money)
*Mount Holyoke types: I might need backup transportation from the airport tomorrow, if it's snowing too much around there. If someone could help I'd appreciate it muchly.
*Have decided which tape to bring (the glitter berries won out).
*Am feeling slightly off balance, emotionally; some RPage would be good, I think, but first a shower.

Am, in fact, still alive; was distracted yesterday by visiting cousin and I Love the '90s. And Steven Banks, again. (Interesting discovery from the other night: He's writing stuff for Spongebob Squarepants now.)
Am currently... not so much packing as actively avoiding it. I've had quite a bit of practice. What I don't have is any idea where I'm gonna put my luggage when I get back... hmm.
Yes, I am planning to finish that meme. One of these days.
minkhollow: (phoebe's song)
GIP; of course Photoshop at 1:30 AM is a good idea. Especially when I've got Steven Banks Home Entertainment Center on the brain and need an icon for it desperately and THERE ARE NO PICTURES ONLINE. (In other words: [livejournal.com profile] shati, all your base having saved the day. XD)
Note to parents: get that thing on DVD now so's I can inflict it on others.
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (interpret this!)
In the words of [livejournal.com profile] schiarire: Call the Igors it's a living party!
Watched The Point yesterday and Steven Banks Home Entertainment Center today. Also worked at Fashion Bug again tonight; am in all day tomorrow, but that's the short day, really.
sekrit messages, part ye fourth )
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (it's true enough i guess)
If I Love the '90s does not cover Daria, I will be most disappointed. (I'd still like to know exactly how they made it through the '70s edition without talking about Soap!)
Hey look, I watered plants today. And washed some dishes. I'm not completely neglecting the house. (Just the lawnmowing. And the otherwise yardwork. XD)
Had Jen 3 watch Steven Banks last night; turns out it was a good thing I couldn't find The Point, since she wouldn't've had time to watch it. Anyway, she liked the show, and I only had to explain a few of the music jokes. She said she'd be back tonight, but I think I might have to call and remmind her.
OK, I think it's writing time. Gotta charge Hex up a bit.

::resists temptation to bring yet another character into [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar:: (It would be extremely easy, too. But I shan't. Two characters to a game is quite enough.)
Had the frozen Chinese food for dinner tonight. Not that bad. All the chicken was at the bottom, though. (Package said it was chicken fried rice with fried rice. Was quite surprised to find the rice in it.)
Jen 3 is coming over. I have no idea what happened to our copy of The Point, or I'd have her watch it. Instead I'll just have her watch Steven Banks Home Entertainment Center.
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (rpgs will eat your brain...)
my fandom uses everything as a musical instrument! )
Roadtrip update: We're going, but not until tomorrow morning. EARLY tomorrow morning, though, so there may not be much viable log time (especially since the Australians didn't have any warning).
Speaking of Australians, Celestina is one of the best actresses ever. (Though, among the other giveaways I mentioned, you dodged a key question in there. Might want to consider answering such things in future efforts. XD) Best April Fools' prank since Princess Grace pretended she was moving to California.
Got two Sacajawea dollars last night from Jen II. They were sitting on the computer desk while I was running up some loggage with Martina and I thought, 'Hey! It's the last two of those coins! Somebody go tell Adrian...' (The preceding was an RPage in-joke. PotC parody.)
