Name That Tune temporarily replaced with Daria quoteage - the final college count is in. And that was basically what it boiled down to - didn't get into William & Mary or Sarah Lawrence, got wait-listed at Kenyon (that came Saturday, but I don't remember if I mentioned), and got into Mount Holyoke. Also don't have a shot at UD's smart-people!full ride, but they'll still give me some money. Currently leaning toward Mount Holyoke.

RPage: Can't decide whether to let Morgan rip into Ponder or wait and see if Margolotta gets anywhere in that regard (even though that's private business) - I might have a hard time holding her back. XD

I got waitlisted by Kenyon, too. Yay for people who are waitlisted by Kenyon! And a friend of mine got into Mount Holyoke, though she's probably not going because UMass is cheaper.

It is in Wisconsin, unfortunately. (I live in Massachusetts. This interesting fact of geography leads my friends to weep and rent their garments and complain ceaselessly about my leaving them for a state with nothing but dead horses on the road. I have no idea where they got the dead horses thing.)

Oh, cheese was mentioned too. Forgot that. And we have snow in Massachusetts. But the dead horses? I have no idea. It was only one person shouting it out in the middle of a boisterous conversation, so probably just random. (He's going to be attending a different college in Wisconsin, come to think of it.)

See, that's the thing - her opinion might be too biased for me to let her go on this one. She got the story from Skazz (and reading the comment-chat, since he linked that for her, so she at least figured out why he got the boot), after all.
But SHE thinks she's got good cause, and she's hardly the sort to keep her mouth shut about this sort of thing. Look where it got her last time.

Far as I can tell, it's something like: What, it's the wrong joke at the wrong time and you won't even give him a chance to apologize for it? (That and Skazz doesn't quite seem to know what happened anyway.)
I personally wouldn't have known the comment in question was a joke without the clarification. Sarcasm + the On Line = bad combination without some kind of note going (that was sarcasm by the by).

The problem with that argument is that Skazz has not even tried to attempt to appologize, so Ponder hasn't had a chance to deny him a chance, which he wouldn't.

Margo got nowhere - Ponder is quite set on his course here. So I guess anybody can have a go at the inscrutable Mr Stibbons at this point, but that would only harden his resolution to stay on course and see this through, this once, to his satisfaction. As I know him. Which I can't claim I really do, because he tends to be so very full of surprises.
