not a perfect metaphor

Power buggered off again five hours after my last post; it returned yesterday afternoon, and seems to be sticking around. Dad and I were cleaning up the yard some today. The one huge branch that fell... apparently had termites and carpenter ants anyway!
(The two smaller trees that took major damage are kind of a bummer, though.)
Cable has been gone since the first power flicker on Sunday.
Upgraded to Firefox 3 (I know, I know, finally), which is shiny; however, it's one step ahead of PMOG, which is making me sadface.
In any case, I'm back around, which means the job search can plod slowly but surely onward. (Trina was right; after the first resume, they get easier to send out.)
I also need to figure out where the hell my writing ability got to.

oof. Heating pads are proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. (Apologies to Ben Franklin, but srsly.)
