This radio thing is gonna be full of awesome. XD
In other news:
I am nothing if not impatient. )
minkhollow: Steven Banks: Elvis gotta write a speech now (elvis... gotta write a speech now)
Things acquired since last night: Rent screencaps for great future iconning, an extension on the Victorian lit paper if necessary, theses for both midterm papers, and a box full of software for whenever Hex returns.
Meanwhile, I can't write papers in the computer lab (there's too much crap going on), so that's the history paper out of commission until tomorrow afternoon or thereabouts. I find it somewhat amusing that I actually write better in my room (and that my posting habits are starting to look more like the end of high school, of late).
In other news, DJ interning tonight and BNL tomorrow. For the win!
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (my joy will be complete)
Extra blank CDs have been achieved, for great remainder of Hex backup/music for Get Your Geek On. (There is also a Cunning Plan for said, if I have company that weekend.)
Sat in on Singing RPG Night long enough for 'how do you feel today?' in ENTIRELY the wrong context. It was still hilarious, but. XD
And finally, it looks like I'll actually get to do DJ training this year. FOR THE WIN.
minkhollow: (i do not type with my hands)
paper: Page four of five to seven. Not officially stopping for the day till dinner at least.
Milliways: Remains love.
Slowtime Land thread: Hit page six last night, for great boggling and a fair amount of win. And there's no end in sight, either!
The thread I thought would run for yonks: Stopped at 46 comments, actually.
...Right, back to something resembling productivity.
minkhollow: (do not go gentle)
I love this game. That is all.
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (short attention span theatre)
iPod: ::goes from You Okay Honey? to Summer in the City::
me: ...Christmas bells are ringing in Australia?
[livejournal.com profile] dawning_star: Possibly.

That is all.
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (you earned this on the street?)
Because things are amusing me:
"Ask questions first, rush headlong into mortal peril LATER." (A useful tidbit from the crossover crack.)
"The story goes that Amnesia Johnson caused so much grief during pregnancy that, on the heels of a very rough labor, her mother said she would prefer to forget the whole experience." (The first sentence of my Deliria app; for those of you who read the original bit I posted the other day, this is Annie.)
Also, GIP, again because it amuses me. And clearly I needed more Mark icons - I mean, I only had, what, six? XD

*Rent-watching was finally achieved, with theorizing, singing along, silly commentary, and a few squeeful passersby from Prospect's dining hall (one of them even threw in some table percussion!).
*The original thing has been typed, such as it stands; I have no idea where else it's going.
*...yeah. I blame [livejournal.com profile] crazedcrusader, and so should you.
minkhollow: (terrified houseplants)
Possibly this semester will kill me with reading. Either that or with Renegades awesomeness. (Should figure out what to do with my ammo...)
Speaking of reading... what the hell, Gertrude Stein. That is all.
Rent-watching, it appears, shall happen tomorrow, as this is the best time before the semester really takes off. The crossover crack will no doubt continue apace, mingled with other various writing pursuits.
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (my joy will be complete)
So this is the difference from canon, is it? I think I approve.
...I should pack. And/or get back to copying out that D&D stuff. And/or find my carpet so I have somewhere to pack.
minkhollow: (leap of faith)
There are times when this game is made of win.
And then... and then there are time when I can't believe what I'm typing (the bit I'm boggling at's not till the third page, but it's there). I mean, the rest of the thread is also made of win, but... still.
::blames the lateness of the hour::
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (smell them!)
Found this while going back and tagging old LJ entries (note to self: Tag/memory old Disc RP stuff in appropriate journals?), and feel it merits redoing.
LJ history meme )
minkhollow: (shrews!)
[livejournal.com profile] quinby is here, at least for another few hours. Borders + two Milliways people = "Canon, canon, canon, should be canon, canon..."
To say nothing of the book about the Snakes on a Plane phenomenon. XD That was rather entertaining to look at.
Mental Floss remains love, though '19 important facts about bananas' was rather ellipses-inducing.
minkhollow: (song and/or dance)
Okay, so. We're allowed headphones at work, and the headphoneless have the radio on as well. Makes for interesting song meshes, sometimes.
But today's wins, I think: Three bits of Rent soundtrack in a row at least partially intersecting with "Who Are You." I take it the technology approves of recent Milliways events. XD
In other work news... between the constant lack of parts, the constant neglect of the machinery, and now the extra people we don't exactly need, I kinda think they want to foist our section's work onto someone else. ::shrugs::
minkhollow: (but remember: i'm aquaman!)
On today's episode of Why Do We Even Have That Lever?: There is in fact floor behind my bed. I was beginning to think it was mostly interdimensional space full of dust bunnies. I'm most of the way through the 'various flat surfaces' stage of things; then there's 'things in drawers' (and won't that be fun) and 'unearthing carpet.'
In any case, I get to go be social with other former band people this afternoon, so that may be as far as I get. Tune in tomorrow (possibly) for more exciting adventures!
and now, an icon. )
minkhollow: (holy wood magic)
And now, some more completely random tidbits.
*I'd kind of figured something like this would happen. XD
*This appears to be what happens when I finish rereading things. It still needs a bit of hammering out, perhaps, but there's the basics.
*Parents' computer seems to have prepared for tonight's concert by playing three Little Feat songs in a row. Should perhaps not find this so amusing. Also, the Interweb is being particularly silly today, though it seems to have stopped now I've told people. Of course.
*Due to circumstances beyond our control, I don't know whether [livejournal.com profile] quinby will still be able to come visit. But I'm rather hoping so.
minkhollow: (song of the viking)
In other news:
Did the hospice thing Wednesday evening. It still sucks.
'Lack of work' is, perhaps, a misleading term for yesterday, but calling it that got us home. And we left piddly stuff for Monday, so if we still don't have the parts to continue driving out there won't be a total waste of gas.
I unearthed my dresser earlier (the mother took a picture of it empty, even!), and started on the corner o' crap. Still not sure where the cleaning urge came from.
I have some new BNL; all of you, get thee to iTunes and buy the Easy mini-album. I didn't think much of the last song, but the first two rock with much rocking, as is their standard fare.
And finally: I have no idea why [livejournal.com profile] darling_alexi is in my head. First she stuck around knowing I wouldn't make Milliways easy for her, and now her college choice? (It's a basketball rivalry thing.) I don't even know if I have time to do anything with that idea, but there it is anyway.
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (density)
And oh look, Gainful Employment happened.
I'm not doing the *exact* same thing I was last year, but it's similar. And three-day weekends are worth ten-hour days, right? I can be an artificial morning person as long as I have caffeine, and at least it's not customer service.
And by the end of the summer, I'll have boatloads of money. XD
In other news, I love this game. Quite a lot.
minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (a loveable droll geek)
...So I just finished the book. Wow.
If I can find words, this may well result in my first ever fan mail.
(And if anyone knows why I've had What You Own stuck in my head on loop since last night - without hearing it, mind - let me know.)
