some cool stuff:
27 Jun 2003 05:39 pmThese are my discoveries for today. Semi-crosspost because while pretty much all of those people are interested, some of you would be too and none of you are in that community.
I found it on the Chatter, the person who posted it there got the link from a friend's LJ, and who knows where it was before...
Barenaked Ladies are in the finishing stages of prepping their follow-up to 2000's Maroon. Frontman Steven Page mastered the disc, titled Everything to Everyone, in New York on Monday, and the band is trying to decide which of its 16 to 17 new songs should ultimately make the record. Song titles include "War on Drugs," "Chimpanzees," "Aluminum," "Celebrity," "Shopping" and "Maybe Katie."
!!! !, even.
'Course, they had to share paragraph space with something about air guitar championships. But still!
May not be on later in favor of writing something 'cause I need to before I go crazy.
...Too late, never mind. But you get the idea.
Two things I am doomed to never understand: Green tea and ping-pong. I mean, the tea's not even green, and I personally think it tastes nasty. And my attempts to make sense of ping-pong somehow turned into random bitchiness the other day. (...yeah.) I don't see why it matters so much which side of the table the blessed ball hits first.
(Note to self: You have Things to take care of later too, so perhaps you'll be online for a bit after all.)

Date: 2003-06-27 05:48 pm (UTC)I think part of my problem stems from yardwork a few years ago - Dad had one of those big drink-holder things outside, I thought it was Pepsi, it was definitely green tea. Ick. not a good thing to get when you expect Pepsi.

Date: 2003-06-27 06:29 pm (UTC)And yeah. Unexpected flavours are WEIRD. I once drank strawberry kiwi juice when I thought it was apple juice, and even though I love strawberry-kiwi, my first thought was BLARRGH, because that was NOT how apple juice should be tasting!

Date: 2003-06-27 06:57 pm (UTC)I imagine unexpected flavors would at times extend to my parents' pop choices. When we go to fast-food places Dad'll get Dr. Pepper and Sprite mixed (don't ask me, I certainly don't get it); Mom will get Sprite or Coke. Obviously the Sprite wouldn't be a problem, but otherwise. Ew.
