1. Why do you read fanfiction?
...Good question. I guess when I got into the Daria fandom it seemed like the thing to do. Don't even remember what the first fic I read was (prolly some zany crossover or other). And then when it comes to GO there're too many answers.

2. If you had to give up one of music, books, TV or film, which could you live without? What makes the others more important?
TV, as I practically do without now. (About all I watch these days is Trading Spaces; I think I got spoiled by Nickelodeon wasting all their good programs on my youth. I want Salute Your Shorts back, dammit!) Movies are occasionally an excuse to get out of the house, but generally are, just. Books make you think, even the funny ones, and they're more portable. 'Sides, words on paper = brill. And music I don't understand how anyone can live without or not like.

3. What is your ideal house like?
I got asked this for a Spanish quiz and said I wouldn't be able to describe it in English... here goes.
Big. Very big. Four or five bedrooms big. Killer entertainment/sound system. LIBRARY (icnludes music).

4. What makes the Horsepersons attractive characters for you?
One - War sort of moved into my mind and teamed up with my muse, so there wasn't much I could do about it. But wait, I expect you want a sensible answer?
Two - It's a chance to lok at things from a slightly (who am I kidding? drastically) different perspective. This is, as the RPG shows, surprisingly easy to slip into and in fact scares me at some points.
Three - I'm a history nut, despite my tribulations with the Worst Bloody Teacher Ever this past school year. So writing Horsepersons fic gives me a chance to put all these random settings (Manhattan Project, Spanish civil war, American Revolution, Napoleon but that's not published yet, the Crusades but that's in the same story as the last) to good use.

5. What one material object would radically improve your life?
::dithers::
um... I'll go with Daria episodes on DVD. There're 13 I haven't seen at all and I can't expect my tapes to last forever.

Also, the RPG lives again. It's insane and it's fun and it's insanely fun!
It didn't rain here today (thank God), but I still got rained on during the gym wossname. Oh well; important thing is we don't have to clean the basement again. (We had to throw out boxes of magazines. BOXES. They were in the closet under the stairs and Mom was going to take them to school for people to cut up. Dude.)
And I get to go bowling tomorrow. yay!
Finally, I was inspired by [livejournal.com profile] somatique except I can't afford to make a whole LJ for music reviews with how many others I've got, so.

1) I Hate My Frickin I.S.P. - The perfect song to release your net-stress to, and could prolly be applied to LJ woes in some manner.
2) Buffalo Grass - Odd song. Not bad, but not the best on the CD.
3) Jerk - I don't much care for this one. The "grind you down to atoms" thing is only amusing for so long, that being about half the song. And then I just want it over.
4) Bang on the Ukelele Daily - A live ukelele remix of "Bang the Drum All Day". I first heard this version of it live myself (in April), and I think it's much better than the original version. More fun.
5) Where Does the Time Go? - Aforementioned lorry-load of candy. Happy little love-song sort of thing but with lines like "I think it's quarter to three when it's half past six" it's certainly not the usual sort of thise things. And it is on some levels SO Thief of Time music. XD
6) Love of the Common Man - Originally a Utopia song, I think, but that's still Todd. I can't really think of any noticeable differences between this version and the other. Eh.
7) mary and the Holy Ghost - REALLY odd instrumental-techno-thing. Sounds like something my sister would listen to (and I wouldn't be surprised if she'd heard it at some point, to be honest). Not bad, just really weird.
8) Yer Fast (And I Like It) - A bit dirty for my usual tastes, as you might guess from the title. But the music is good enough to get me to listen to it, so I just sort of tune out the lyrics...
9) Hit Me Like a Train - Another odd song (I mean, this is Todd Rundgren, what'd you expect?). Just sort of... there, as memory serves, but you've got to remember. Lorry-load of candy currently being processed by eardrums.
10) The Surf Talks - Given the dialup modem sounds at the beginning, this is more Internet than ocean. I'm not sure at present whether I like it or not, it's that strange.
Overall - 8.5 out of 10. Not completely good, but it's Todd so there's enough good that I'll recommend it.
