but at least I'm packed!
8 Jun 2003 10:53 pmMostly, that is. Don't have any notebooks in. (Am not expecting to get any writing done, aside from the note-type deals. You just know they're going to pop up again.) And I might try for some drawing later. Who knows?
If I do write anything I've got a sneaking suspicion it'll be a zany crossover what
daegaer mentioned first. She knows which, as do a few others. Just... gah.
Am going to post that RPG-thing I was having issues with in a few minutes. I need to get this going before I leave, and the post is going to be OOC but that's necessary. And then when I get back things will resume as normal. (ish. ::smirk::)
...I can take my own Todd Rundgren along. Duh.
Due to limited CD space I'll prolly take Harry Nilsson. That and parents would go nuts if I tok the 2-CD Who thing, which is what I'd go for.
Got out my Daria/Doctor Who crossover this morning and reread what I'd written last time. I like the concept, I like what's done, but I just can't get anywhere on it. This stuff was the third or fourth time I tried to get it going (fittingly enough).
1. If you were to travel to any point in time, would it be just for a visit or permanently?
Visit. Can't go without Internet for too long. (Well, I can make it a few weeks if there's no computer around whatsoever, but I doubt I could manage permanently.) And the future would likely be WAY too overwhelming to stay in without gettng there over the natural course of time.
2. What is your favorite thing to buy?
Books, books and more books. Also music, but mostly books. My current list is any and all Discworld I can afford, Sandman stuff (as I still haven't managed to read it), and a CD that I can't seem to find anywhere.
3. You're making the ultimate ice-cream sundae (or some kind of delicious dessert). What do put into it?
Lorry-loads of chocolate, but with vanilla ice cream to counteract. And bits of Heath bar. And caramel topping as well. No whipped cream, that's Dad's department.
4. If you were an inventor, what would you invent?
Stuff, one would hope. XD
Actually, if you look at it right writing is sort of inventing. At least it is once you get around to makingup your own characters and places and whatnot. (Yeah, I know. Copout.)
5. What is your favorite quote?
Well... I've got nearly 300 of them, to be quite honest. But at the moment my favorite favorite quote would have to be Susan's initial reaction to the Death of Rats in Soul Music: "You don't exist. You're just a piece of cheese." And this distinction frequently changes, most often to suit whatever I'm obsessing over at the mo.
Anyone else wants questions, ask but be aware you won't get them till Thursday.
