linkage an' suchlike
4 Jun 2003 12:25 pmOne of
maybethemoon's friends found a thing that tells you when you've been friended.
Also, Crowley has evidently been slacking. (You'll understand when you read it. XD)
And while I'm here... while there aren't nearly 200 people watching this, I'm curious as well. So I'm going to steal Moony's idea and request that y'all tell me why you friended me, and I will respond in turn. (I am a lemming. I am a lemming. ::drowns::)
Am prolly expected to go back downstairs and help Dad clean things (no mountain of dirt, as it is WET out). Grr, argh.
Observation: It's easier to catch
afrai online than it is
daegaer and the other British-area people, despite the fact that afrai's half a day ahead of me, time-zone wise. 'S weird - England and Ireland are only five hours ahead, but I'm hardly ever on at the same time as those people.

Date: 2003-06-04 10:17 am (UTC)Early-90's Nickelodeon, however, rocked beyond all reason. (Must be why they reduced the programming to the Spongebob Network. Whatever happened to the Angry Beavers, anyway?)

And now...yeah. Spongebob, and Cousin Skeeter. ::shudders::

Date: 2003-06-04 10:33 am (UTC)Rugrats, for a while; Salute Your Shorts; Clarissa Explains it All; Pete and Pete (if only for the theme song, that was great); Rocko; I know I'm leaving at least one of the blessed shows out; All That before Lori Beth Denberg left. (And even toward the end there, the music-guest quality was sliding.)

Date: 2003-06-04 10:35 am (UTC)How could I have forgotten?? My siblings loved Hey, Dude but it just drove me nuts... ::thinks:: what else....
I can't remember, but yeah. Those were the days!

Date: 2003-06-04 10:55 am (UTC)EUREKA'S CASTLE!!! That's what it was! And when Nick at Nite started at eight I'd try to stay up and watch I Dream of jeannie and Bewitched.
No wonder I don't watch TV anymore. All the good stuff's not on. (Well, Clariss and the brothers Pete have wandered over to Noggin, but we have normal cable, so.)
Re:
Date: 2003-06-04 11:09 am (UTC)Though some of the other Nick Jr. stuff was kind of odd. Like the dude alone in the clearing in the woods, with the occasional puppet and very rare human guest? Like Mr. Rogers except creepy? In my mind's eye I picture him as Red Green (ehehehe), though I can't really remember what he looked like at all. That show was not right.
We have Noggin, but I only seem to be around when their weird teenage dramas/educational shows are on. Which is a pity cause I'd really like to see some Daria too.

Date: 2003-06-04 11:19 am (UTC)I don't remember any freaky guys in the woods...

Date: 2003-06-04 11:21 am (UTC)Guess I'll have to settle for crappy Kazaa downloads then.
There was definitely a freaky guy in the woods. But I spent a lot of time home "sick" around then (troubles adjusting to new school), so I watched Nick Jr. wayyy too much for my own good. :D

Re:
Date: 2003-06-04 04:54 pm (UTC)Still think he was creepy though.
But yeah, Sharon Lois and Bram! Something about elephants. They annoyed me, but that's just because I tried to pretend I was Too Cool for such things when really I was a dork. :D

ROCK!
Re:
Date: 2003-06-04 09:38 pm (UTC)Hee. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a dork potential. I think it should be an entry requirement to colleges (What is you dork potential? Don't know? Take this easy quiz to find out!). And such. Hee. Must find that tape...

And, to answer your question, Buggreallethis, Foodless Diet & general similarity in outlook & tastes :)

Date: 2003-06-04 05:39 pm (UTC)On the highway thing - NOOOOO! If I'd known there was a US 666, I would have driven out to it and taken pictures. Lots of pictures. I would have even posed in a goofy manner next to the route signs for said photos, and I
neverrarely do things like that. This is a sad, sad day for all of us. *cries*no subject
Date: 2003-06-04 05:48 pm (UTC)Amen to the highway thing. There're probably still signs up now, just I can't get to New Mexico by the time they'll all be down.
Will have to settle for M25 pictures should I ever make it to England, I suppose...

Date: 2003-06-04 07:38 pm (UTC)And as to why I friended you . . . because! Bill and Ted! And the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy! And really cool Horsepersons fic! But, I confess, mostly Bill and Ted. Because there are HHG fen and GO fen out there, but I've found hardly any Bill and Ted fen. And also because you are scarycool.
no subject
Date: 2003-06-04 07:53 pm (UTC)So it's because of the Bill and Ted? Cool. (And "scarycool" is a new description. XD) So, Ted icon just for you.
I friended you... well, not because of the fic. I saw a bunch of your posts on
For the record, I hold you responsible for my finally reading LotR, increased slash tolerance on my part, the Coldplay liking (otherwise I wouldn't've paid attention when the radio guy said the song was "Clocks" and it wouldn't've STUCK), and definitely the Legolas/Gimli. Allyourfault. Not that I mind, but still.
