/me sighs in relief
3 Jun 2003 04:47 pmPeople are taking their bloody time in getting back to me on the movie-going thingy. Princess Grace can't go if it's Thursday, and it prolly will be. Everyone else just said "probably." :b (Paging Princess Grace, by the way: If you've got anyone else'e emails, drop me a line. I've got Twig's email (and she's on here as well) and Apple's (somewhere), but other than that I am at a sore loss for pestering purposes.)
seramercury - the sticker got here. You ROCK. (Parents are wondering about the mail-from-random-person thing, though... hmm.)
I realized something last night: Cincinnati and Newport are the current foci of Crowley and Aziraphale, respectively. Those of you here who've read GO (just
brazenbells?) know what I mean. For everyone else: Cincinnati is kinda sorta falling apart in terms of community cooperation, sports (certainly football), etc., and then there's that whole boycott business (which I think is down to three or four participants). Newport if directly across the river and... at least five times as spiffy. Barnes & Noble! Southgate House! Aquarium! Really freakin' good ice cream!
Oh. (Sort of) icon premiere. Actually used it first at
discworld last night, since it's based on a sign from Thief of Time. Someone else has the "keep left (right?)" sign. XD

Date: 2003-06-03 03:39 pm (UTC)We didn't bother with the elevator. Went to the aquarium, then... some restaurant or other (or maybe that was first? Eh, it was spring break, the order's not important), then Barnes & Noble*, then the yummy ice cream place. Cake batter ice cream.
Southgate House was a different trip, but still cool.
And Thief of Time was awesome. (Obviously. XD)
*Whereupon I got Hogfather, which eventually spawned the Thriving Pratchett Trade. Should've done sooner, I could've read the whole series by the time my source graduated. XD
But I got him to read GO. So, all is well.

We were trying to get to the movie theatre. We just couldn't work the elevator, because, well, they can't just number things properly. It's P3, P2, P1, something, and Riverwalk. Would one through five be so hard?? Would it??

(::pokes:: Do you get the Enquirerer and if so did you read today's Speed Bump?)

I never take the elevator at the Levee cause it never comes. The stairs are my friend.

Precisely why I gave it the credit of angelic influence - you need to read Good Omens. You'd like it - funny!Apocalypse.
