minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (always thinkin'!)

This book rocks beyond measure. Note to self: buy own copy at next available opportunity (which really ought to be soon, what with Mother's Day and Mom's birthday and all), and possibly look into DVD.
Culture invasions from another universe (or something like that) = High Entertainment. Just about up there with the dolphin conversation, if you must know. (Oh, and the bit in GO where it mentions a guy selling hot dogs? That makes so much more sense now...)
The music puns - ye gods and little FISHES. Those things are BRILL! (Except I've yet to work out "Sto Helit Lace" - little help, please?)
And you just know there's a Buddy Holly joke coming, and then it's so subtle you don't realize it for a bit. And, and, just.
This alive!music concept deserves more consideration, I must say - but if I'm the one to do it then it'll have to be later. Already have three billion projects going, and another threatening to start...
Drunk!Death is amusing, but not quite so much as drunk!Crowley and Aziraphale. Less conversation, for one. XD
Just, just. COOL!

Anyway.
Kenyon is, as stated, very much of the spiffy. Very much of the Spiffy, even. (That was not redundant; the Capital Letters make a difference. ^_^)
The Discworld/GO plot bunny I mentioned a few days ago has a first line. I'm trying to keep it from getting anything else, at least till such time as I manage to finish something else off. It is, after all, one of those "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if..." affairs.
(ETA: Am about to break standing count fo 42 interests. Hey, I gotta account for the Discworld somehow...)

The Soul Music DVD is quite entertaining. The animation takes some getting used to, but by the end of the film, you're fairly sure you like it.

The music puns rock my world. (Ah ha.) Sto Helit Lace = Chantilly Lace.

Thought's I'd replied with this earlier...

I thought of "Anarchy in the UK," by the Sex Pistols, but "Panic in Detroit" works as well.
