That's interesting...

Apparently the Richter scale guy was born in the local vicinity. So what if he moved to California before he came up with the thing? It's still cool. (Dad says he knows one of the guy's relations and she's a fruitbar...)
The ducks in the comment bar are now a more suitable duck color. Much easier on the eyes than the blue was, I think. 'Sides which... blue ducks?
Am rereading Shipper Wars, which is an incredibly funny Daria fandom inside joke. (I wonder how many of the authors in it aren't in Dariafic anymore...) Also the only non-board use of 'maters I can think of, aside from
fujinsama's recent attempt to drag them into Harry Potter fandom. Morgan, if you want the link, that can definitely be arranged.
RPG has been rather quiet lately. ::ponders:: Where is everyone, anyway? Perhaps I should've emailed the group while I was looking up Religion Paper of DOOM-related stuff? (See? I've gotten some things from my list done. Go me, doing school work before 8:00 Sunday!)
We're trying to work out how I can go on the senior retreat-thing for school without missing school (AP credit, donchaknow).* No matter what we do, I can't go in August; we'll be on vacation. June is currently full and they pick people for that. BUT! The teacher who organizes this said if someone can't go (and there's usually at least one) she'll add me to the list. Go Mom for having an inside track on such things. Crossing my fingers, as I'd like to have that quarter of my absence days in case I'm actually sick.
*They're calling it the McAllister Rule, after the Incredible Absent Girl. If you miss more than twelve days out of the school year - illness, field trips, anything - you can't get AP credit for taking the class. That messes about with class rank and, in theory, will (a) get the girl to show up for a change or (b) knock her out of the valedictorian tailback.
