I have my yuletide assignment! Should be fun. Meanwhile, a little something for whoever's writing for me:

What I Like To Read: I tend toward happier fic, on the whole. While I have no real objections to strong ratings, the fandoms I requested... don't really lend themselves to those. And I have no objections to bittersweet, where it's called for (see also my pre-canon-era requests). Anything that carries on in the spirit of the canon is very much approved, but that tends to be the case with any fic.
What I Do Not Like To Read: Excessive angst. Improbable pairings, hence clarifying most of my requests as gen (obviously, where I say otherwise, I don't mind, but I'm not exactly in this to get smut). Dubious consent where there is a pairing, if things get that far.
What follows are my requests, and whatever asides related to them that I could think of after the fact.

Sneakers
*Gen fic, wherein College-Era Hijinks are explored. Cheery bent (or, well, as cheery as canon allows) preferred. Bonus points if you can work in a cameo by Gregor the Russian guy. (Elaborating: Marty/Liz is totally acceptable, as is one-sided Cosmo/Liz, but neither is necessary.)
*Gen fic: A Day In The Office (or at a non-'government' job). I'm intrigued by what exactly the guys *do,* when they're not... dealing with Marty's past, first and foremost. Bonus points if someone plays a prank on Mother. (More elaborating: This is the corner of things where pairings, unless it's Marty/Liz again, would make my head hurt. Something where HIJINKS ENSUE will do quite nicely.)

Villains By Necessity
I have two big questions, related to this book: 1) What specifically led Blackmail to the point of participating in canon? and 2) What IS involved in being a bard, anyway - and can Robin pull it off with barely anyone alive who remembers what that entails? Gen or not-with-canon-characters romance preferred. (The not-with-canon-characters is because the focus is on such a small group of characters, with two of them being so OTP and Blackmail... being in his armor up to the end, that there's not much room for pairings, or much chemistry that I can see. This does not, however, rule out someone in Blackmail's past or Robin's future.
Also, if you're not the lucky other person to be offering this fandom, I highly recommend the book, if you can hunt down a copy.)

Daria
Either some unexplored facet of their high school years (maybe the wacky hijinks are at Tom's school, rather than Lawndale High?), or something that comes up while the three of them are home from college. I'd love to see Daria/Tom, if you can work it in there, but gen is also fine. (...Not much to be added to this one, actually.)

I really enjoyed the Daria/Tom relationship in the last season of the show. I enjoyed Tom on a whole, actually.

Yes! He is made of Win.
Daria/Tom made a lot more sense to me than Jane/Tom did, even if it was... kinda doomed from the start, in light of the circumstances. Still, it was great to see play out.
