So the parents left this morning for Vacationland, this year known as parts surrounding my sister. I'm home alone for three weeks, two of which I'm still working.
Have read a tiny bit of HP7 (enough to wonder why everyone's bellowing, basically).
[livejournal.com profile] hpmugglestudies got [livejournal.com profile] gehayi and I Plotting, by which I mean A Magical History of the United States. It shouldn't be anywhere near as entertaining as it is, but I guess that's my inner history geek for you. XD

As the cut text says, I can't make up my mind whether I want to do this grad school thing or not. But the mother poked me into looking some things up yesterday, and so I link various creative writing programs both for my own reference and for whatever input the flist feels like offering:
NYU, Emerson College (which also has a publishing program), Brown, Columbia, American University, University of Baltimore (writing and publishing - I'd leave with a finished product), Miami (the one just down the road), University of Texas, and University of San Francisco.

So, yeah, there's some cool stuff out there. Now if I could just make up my mind for once in my life... XD

And finally: Off in RP Land, it amuses me immensely that the PBs look related. It is a thing, perhaps.

.... You know which one I would choose ;)

If you would seriously consider it we can talk about living arrangements at Casa De Lee.

I pass American University (at least, the train station for it) on my way to work every day. ...that's all I know.

A Magical History of the United States.

I've been wanting to write/read one of these for a long, long time. The closest I've found is fics bringing canon characters to the US and they're usually all Cowboy and Westernish and really...not interesting.

But yeah. My history geek is...not inner. It's very much proud of itself and parades everywhere.
