They won jug wars AND the canned-goods drive. We had the food last year but somehow wound up dead last. Got second place in jug wars, though, so that's not too bad.
The drying nail polish from last night was part of a plan. The second coat was some clear stuff with stars and glitter in it - night sky in miniature. Needs a UFO, though, so I'll be fixing that later.
Other two movie party invites out. One definite maybe. I considered throwing in some Monty Python, but that's kind of its own party. XD

If it's in italics, [livejournal.com profile] afrai said it first. This is the randomly cool idea I had a week or so ago, but I wanted to wait till she got back. And since she's back a bit early (yaaay!), here goes:
It ain't fair. Good Omens is a rare lit fandom. How come it isn't bursting at the seams with educated, sane people who write very little fic, but that insanely good?

Okay, so maybe the fic part is fine, but. Just. Gah. I just feel Good Omens should be more fun as a fandom than it is.

So what we do, I’m thinking, is start an LJ community specifically for Good Omens. There’s not one of those yet, far as I can tell. I’ve got my one code around still. And if we go with something like lower_tadfield for the name, it’ll be sort of a universal ref to the book. I mean, everybody winds up there eventually... right?
Icon idea for it - peas. You know. peas is our professioune. XD It'd have to say that too, probably.

Oh, and afrai - I know it's more like outright text than subtext, but I think it's more fun to call it subtext. It's sorta your fault I'm reading the books now anyway. You and the movies, and some other cool people I know who read that sort of thing. (Dad tried to get me to read them a few years ago, but... you know. Can't take your parents' tastes in reading seriously. XD)
