That might be a weakness in the authorship, but still. I'm thinking this is me in over my head.
If it doesn't make more sense tomorrow... much as I'd hate to bail out of such a small class, I think I'll have to.

Go talk to the teacher. That is what s/he is there for! Besides, as many teachers have said: the people who actually need to talk to them in person are never the ones who do.

So if the book is not making sense, go talk to your teacher, because theoretically he or she is there to clarify and expand upon such things as the text.

I'ma see if I can't get it to make more sense in class tomorrow. This will prolly include asking the prof. But... already had a big case of flail in the first one. Don't know whether it was that or not.
And it's too early in the semester for that stuff.
But I need to figure out, however necessary, whether this class is in fact over my head ASAP, since the period to add classes ends... next week, I think, and I'll need to pick up sommat else to keep my full-time-student status.
