WE FINALLY GOT A TROPHY!!!!

All right. Now that that part's over, a couple of things I promised people earlier.
1) On the subject of how all this plot wound up in the RPage: (best Ridcully impersonation) We can't be having with plot in this RPG! It's worse than characters!
::snerk::
2) Some song lyrics. It's not exactly Myddlle Engelifhe after all, more of the randomly-sticking-Es-on-words thing. But that's close, right?
I am a Viking of some note
Knut's my name and here I float*
Out on the sea in a great big boat
And I'm the one who beats the drum in time
To stroke the pars that drive our galleons on
And while we rowed we had our song
And we had our god, and it may seem odd
But at least there was a cause
Caught a wind and we upped the sail
Lost two ships when it turned to a gale
Down went a third when she rammed on a whale
Though we despaired we could not fail
And through it all we never faltered
Late at night I lay on decke
Wondering whye I risk mye necke
Picture myselfe in a sinkinge wrecke
Ande downe I'me goinge notte knowinge whye
I just can't quite recall the reason why
It's such a drag to carry on
But there was a cause, there was a reason
If you like I'll be your Viking
Sit you down to a Nordic meal
Give you strength that you might wield
A Viking sword and a Viking shield
And off we sail in mighty ships of yore
Perhaps we shouldn't let our hands get sore
We need someone to pull the oars
And to do the chores
So we need a cause, so we need a reason why
*Knut, for the record, is pronounced Newt.
You are all hereby charged to go download that song. Also "Ambush" by Harry Nilsson (which would make a WONDERFUL band song).
Ought come up with RPage stuff. I'll only be up till one or so (three Celestina-time), due to RenFesting tomorrow. I do need some sleep, after all.
Oh, and I talked to someone I haven't seen since eighth grade today. So that was fun. (She wound up presenting our trophy!)

Date: 2003-10-11 09:24 pm (UTC)I'm so easily convertable. I'm worse than the Dean-well, okay, so I'm not, because no-one's worse than the Dean, but I'm pretty bad. Amazon.com is brill. I lubs it, quirky shipping and all.

Date: 2003-10-11 09:29 pm (UTC)What we need is a live-action version of Soul Music. The animated one... just doesn't quite get the Dean across right (maybe it's the squeaky!wizards problem). Not to mention the other little (and BIG!) things. Amazon.com is another very dangerous place, such as it is one.
And anyway Todd Rundgren just doesn't get enough appreciation. (I'll warn you now he's been recording stuff for at least 30 years. Just so you know what you're getting into. But it's good stuff!)

Date: 2003-10-11 09:40 pm (UTC)My ego: *suitably deflated*
Well, at least that's back down to size. I was having trouble getting through doors with that big head. Or would have had trouble if I'd, you know, gotten out of this chair and actually gone anywhere.
Live-action Soul Music would be a beautiful, beautiful thing.
Amazon.co.uk is even more dangerous. It's just...there. Having books that we're not allowed on account of, as Pterry says, our having chucked all that tea in the harbor at me. It does it on purpose, I know it does, that wonderful evil site.
Thanks for the warning. Now I can stomp happily all over the bit of me that goes "Ew, old people!" and hides in corners listening to That New Music Kids Listen To These Days.

Date: 2003-10-11 09:47 pm (UTC)Thought you needed it and all. But still, 's better than said New Music. By far.
...Well, all right, BNL's on about the same level. More intelligent musicians with senses of humor!

Date: 2003-10-12 02:04 am (UTC)Sorry? ^^; Time differences are DAMN evil. I bet Crowley has something to do with it all.
And, you know. I probably need some head-deflatory too. I'm just like, "woo! my absence is like the chaos effect with the butterfly, and the flapping, and the... ok, maybe not."

Date: 2003-10-12 10:10 am (UTC)How are we supposed to deflate your ego if you insist on going around being funny like that all the time, eh? XD
