Our tale... kind of starts yesterday, and kind of starts earlier than that.

me: ::has no family visiting this year, eats at Blanchard::
roommate: ::returns from dinner:: There's cake in the fridge for you, by the way.
yesterday: ::cesspool of suck::
me: ::has not partaken of this cake yet, decides it will help matters::
cake: ::is actually CAKE - chocolate, fruit goopy stuff inside, raspberries and strawberry slices, generally high levels of wonderful::
me: ::had not been expecting CAKE, is immensely pleased::

Fast-forward to this morning.
Quin: ::mentions a Rent article inna magazine::
me: glee! ...but I have to go to class.
history midterm: ::shall be full of DOOM!, at least in the studying::
lunch: ::is... lunch::
me: ::ducks across street to bookstore between Shakespeare and work, to look for this Rent article::
that particular article: ::is not there::
another one: ::is!::
me: glee! ::reads a bit:: ...WTF, Maureen and Joanne don't have the most stable relationship in the play.
bookstore: ::is also selling Mental Floss!::
me: GLEE! ::BUYS::

All in all, a far more satisfying product than yesterday was.
