time for reading... maybe? ish?
6 Jan 2003 07:56 pmMy math exam is the first one on the first day. This is both good and bad news. (Math first thing in the morning? Eeeep.)
I decided at lunch it's about time I actually read LotR, so I went up to the library and checked the first one out. Note to self: book due back 21st Jan., whether for checking in or renewing. Is coming along fairly well, if you ut aside this montrous headache I've got. (I doubt it's really related to the book, but it's certainly not aiding my progress.)
This is the point at which
afrai really needs to be here. I'll actually be able to comment on her bizarre theories about it now! XD
Did the entire 17th century in English (Brit Lit) today, and are doing the entire 18th century tomorrow. Reasoning: We're going to run out of time anyway, so we might as well draw out the more interesting/modern stuff. Holding out for something interesting in the reading.
Speaking of interesting in the reading, the school library now has the entire Hitchhiker's Trilogy. The first four have been there for years, and the librarian just got Mostly Harmless. I rejoice on behalf of those who will someday read it. I mean, even though the last book's my least favorite, it's a worthwhile experience. If only for the "Kevin knows..." line. That's in my quote collection. I might dig it out for y'all later.

Frightening!!
You have have have read The Hobbit, right? I'm a strict advocater of reading The Hobbit before LotR and reading the books before the movie. Therefore it is rather annoying when everyone who sees me reading comes up, "Oh you did see the movie right? Wasn't it sooo great?!!??? What do you mean you didn't see the movies??" Ok..getting rantish, must stop. But good book. I just finished it last night. How far are you? There are many cool quotes in there.
Yeah, I'll stop rambling now...^^;;

Re: Frightening!!
Yes, I "have have have read The Hobbit". The librarian checked on that, and it's a good thing I have... the school library's copy is one of the big annotated things. Dad's got one and said I'd probably get lost in it.
