So. Result of the hall choosing: Abbey. CEILING LIGHT FOR GREAT YAY. Really, that's the one thing I don't like about this dorm.
Finished reading Handmaid's Tale for English; I think it says quite a bit about the crackbar that I infinitely prefer Gunslinger!Gilead, never mind that I haven't actually read any of the Dark Tower books. ::shrugs:: Another thing to pursue this summer, I guess.

Yep. Ended up going in with a friend since I couldn't find a roommate; I figure this way, if I end up with a crap roommate, I can at least flee to safer quarters that're in the same building. (It may not be a problem after all... but still. Going on the side of caution.)
Like I said, ceiling light for great yay; that was really my main concern, as far as halls went. Was a bit surprised to find out Abbey's really not that popular, what with the edge-of-campus thing.
Also, congrats on the SA thing working out. Where are you?

Get some Ozium, then - wonderful air-freshener stuff. (Why they hids it in the automotive department I don't know, but you can usually find it at Walmart and the like.)
Dad likes the regular scent, but I'm more partial to the vanilla.
