minkhollow: (song of the viking)
[personal profile] minkhollow

1. Could you please tell me where the name "minkhollow" came from?
It's from one of Todd Rundgren's albums (full title: Hermit of Mink Hollow. Wonderful stuff). When I got my LJ I was a bit stuck on the thing at the time, and I figured my more usual Internet name (Cimorene) would be gone by then. So, minkhollow it was.

2. Of the fanfics you've written, which is your favourite?
Oh, now there's a question. ::considers nearly five years' worth of fic::
It's a toss-up between my Good Omens/Daria crossover (was fun to write, and then there's the cracked-out crossover factor), an AU Daria fic that, should I ever get back into the fandom enough to write a sequel, already has a beta-reader signed on for part two, and the as-yet-unfinished Discworld AU (more of the crack factor). If I absolutely have to choose one, then the crossover.

3. Have you ever found out anything odd about any of the characters that you play in RPGs? If so, what?
A few of them have, actually:
*Finding the end of Imp's fuse was very interesting. I mean, I knew it had to be there somewhere, but good God that boy is patient. I would've lost my temper a lot sooner than six months, really.
*Jane's point of view is... a bit of an interesting one for me. I write more than mess with visual art, so sometimes that factors in, and then there's canon. Writing her point of view on an episode I love due to OTP sensibilities was extremely difficult, considering she got MAJORLY shafted in the process.
*And I'm sure Angel's gonna be full of surprises. Already has been, in a way; I've got loads of plot potential and I really wasn't planning on him moving into my head at all. And yet, there he is. ::shrugs:: What can you do?

4. You walk through your town library one day and end up, through the wonders of L-Space, in the library of Unseen University, Ankh-Morpork. As long as you're here on Discworld, is there anyone you'd like to meet? And what would you say to him, her, it or them?
(Thing is, the way Mount Holyoke's library is, that's not too far from impossible... XD)
Well, first things first - I mean, they do have every book that could possibly be written, yes? I'm finding me some bananas and seeing if I can't convince the Librarian to let me at whatever else of the Hitchhiker's Trilogy he's got.
And then I'd probably ask the High Energy Magic crew if they'd let me see Hex. 'Cause. Coolest computer EVER, and all that.

5. Dubya is out, and Lord Havelock Vetinari becomes the Patrician of America. What does the Patrician change?
Well, we'll have a reasonably honest interpretation of 'one man, one vote,' for one thing... XD
Hmm, let's see... very hands-off approach to government, so there'd be a lot more of political parties/major corporations/whathaveyou squabbling things out amongst themselves. Might take a while for him to convince people to go in his direction anyway, but it'd happen.
...Hmm. Wonder what he'd think of Cirque du Soleil - if it's too close to mimes they'd lose their standing gig in Vegas, I know that much.
And he'd probably get someone to make sense of the national budget, if he didn't do so himself. That would be of the yay.

I think most of you know the drill - if you want an interview, leave a comment, I give you questions, you post in your LJ, other people get questions from you.
In other news. ::smites katakana::
