What better way to ring in the new year than with Christmasy Horsepersons fic?
I mean, really, I'm not worried in the least about being late for the holiday. And you get *two* footnotes! And fishy scene-divider things (they make their triumphant return)! And the middle of it being randomly written in present tense! And Pestilence refs!
...Right then, just go read it, would you?
Will probably get some sleep before dealing with the "positively begging for background" problems, since it's nearly one in the morning.
::cue BNL, except I'm listening to Talking Heads. go figure.::

You rock so much, as usual. Your prose is just -- sharp and spare and unforgiving and wonderful, not a single word wasted. God, I wish I could write like that. Go you!

hee. I like Famine's thoughts. Africa! You are evil.

Pestilence/War?!

The first footnote! Brill! But why can't War remember Ramadan? Doesn't seem likely, that. War always struck me as a most cosmopolitan type.

War/Pestilence! woot!

You know, the last ficlet is both happy and depressing. Because Pollution is happy, but, er, we can't be happy, when we really think about it. So weird. Famine's ficlet would almost be more cheering, because he isn't happy, but we are. But such weirdity is what you get when you write Horsepersons fic, I suppose.

It rocks so much. Happy New Year, man, and what a lovely way to ring in the new year. Well, not lovely. Sort of creepy. But so cool!

I'm terrible at feedback, aren't I. But fish! heh.

why exactly am I evil on the first bit?

Well, 'cos you are. Poor Africa!

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

I'm not sure it is. I mean, no good reason for it, right? And perhaps Muslims reading this will feel left out. (Although -- okay, really religious Muslims are not likely to read this sort of thing. Still.)

But maybe you don't want to be bothered by things like that. Er, you know, it was just a thought.
