Finished the second section of the fic. Famine is being a pain to write (yes, even for the Respected Authority on Horsepersons), so I've put it aside for the moment.
Pestilence makes an appearance but doesn't actually say anything. And now that bit is just begging for background. Not so much Christmasy background as... just background.
(help.)
afrai. Forgot this in response to your comment about Coraline. You suck, in much the same way Lucas did when he got to see Peter Gabriel in concert. ^_^ Don't panic, I don't hold that sort of grudge.
Added to shopping list: copy of American Gods (which I have already read and it rocks that much), and possibly a calendar if I see an interesting one.
"American Pie" was on the radio last night. I know most of the words. Actually, I don't hear it very often. I keep trying to mix the original words with the set for "The Saga Begins" in my head. 'Tis odd.
(Post title is from a Don McLean song that is not "American Pie". It's a lot more fun, in my opinion, as is the current music. The latter song would be on my song quotes collection if I could spell half of it. Listen to it and you'll know what I mean. XD)

I do not suck! See, I do not suck because

a) I did not actually meet Neil Gaiman to get this signed copy of Coraline. I stumbled over it in an English airport bookstore, and

b) I stumbled over it in an English airport bookstore right after I'd thrown up in the middle of aforementioned English airport because of a surfeit of mocha. And my mom was mad at me and my siblings were avoiding me and I just really needed that boost just at that moment. So I do not suck.

Yep. I was just sharing because I'm in a sharing mood this morning. And aren't I always. :)
