This has been one of those day where some RPing at the end of it would go over exceeding well; unfortunately, I don't think I'll have the time. Still have self-defense class and then there's the bio midterm tomorrow, not to mention I should start that paper for English before Crystal gets here and can distract me (like the Internet's not effective enough at that. XD).
Anyway. We had someone crash on our floor last night - that wasn't a problem, really. I woke up with a headache (I doubt the two things are related).
The high point of my morning in general and Japanese in particular was one of the Pratchett fans in Japanese asking if I'd got Going Postal yet. There was much squeeing over Otto.
We got to watch some Japanese-language news about a typhoon (not sure from when) - they don't talk about their weather. They let it speak for itself. Was cool, in a train-wreck sort of way (and even had a derailed train in, at one point).
As for the class itself... it was like there was a wall around what of the language I've learned so far that I couldn't work around to save my LIFE. Gah. So that drove me nuts, and the headache (which had since gone away a little) started coming back, and, and, just. Wanted to talk to Trina at lunch but didn't see her, and then had to go back to the dorm to grab the poster for bio lab.
Got to the top floor, and people were blasting music. I couldn't tell what right away, since the door was closed, but then they opened it and New Radicals! Kairos song! And since that snippet of it helped so much, I broke out the CD I've got it on and played it a couple times before I left for lab. Hadn't had it out in bleedin' ages, either.
Lab was just the presentations, which is why I've got time to post this now. It went well, I think.
And now I'm getting... Kairos-sick, I guess you'd call it. Can't really explain it as such, but it ought to make sense to those of you on the flist who've been on one.

ETA: A random aside from my bio notes - How many chlorophyll molecules can dance on the head of a pin?
I think that was one of the days I was half-asleep through the lecture. XD

I so slept through my first class, it was sad. I tried to get up, once, around 12.. but then I passed out.. I am sorry.

It's all right - I just needed to vent a little bit, and I figured you'd get it. Talked to one of my friends from English for a bit, and the Thursdays thing was indeed my opening line. XD
