Japanese has me making flashcards. This is a personal first, I think, but I don't know of any other way I'll manage to make the characters mean something, so.

There's some of those in the textbook.
But my problem's not the pronunciation as such - it's associating the sound with the character at a glance.

They are supposed to help you associate- the ru character, for example, is apparently meant to look like a robber with a ruby. I never saw it, personally, but apparently this helped some of my classmates.

I'm getting better at this stuff - shuffled the cards up and got most of 'em (more than half, anyway, which is a distinct improvement). It's just... this test is prolly gonna kill me. (yay! Only not.)
