Saw Two Towers tonight.
Lesson the First: Thou shalt not piss the trees off.
I see where Jen was getting plot bunnies.
But, more to the point, I get where afrai's coming from with her shipperism of choice. XD
Gollum is a fruitcake. Case closed.
Spent most of the trailers trying to come up with some for Good Omens. Particularly when they started playing that one waltz thing on the one for the Dumb and Dumber prequel. (Sadly, I am not kidding...)
And as long as I'm yammering about both movies and Good Omens, I think it's finally time I post my Good Omens casting ideas:
*Crowley - Ty Pennington
*Aziraphale - Kenneth Branagh
*Anathema - Nia Vardalos
*War - Kate Winslet, maybe. Since she is after all best known for long red hair anyway.
*Pollution - James Marsters (Though I had to hear someone else say it first.)
*DEATH - Alan Rickman
*Shadwell - Billy Crystal
This one's a bit tricky: Robin Williams should either be Famine or the Metatron. I can see him doing either one brilliantly.
I'm not familiar enough with British actors to fill in things like Them and the other various people.
I have lots of money for Borders and not quite so much, but still some, for Barnes & Noble. No actual money this year, but gift cards still rock my socks. I have to look for Coraline and at least the first two Sandman books, and a couple CDs. Considering buying a stay-home copy of Good Omens so I have it around to enjoy and can still spread it.
This CD player will play my Random 80's Randomness! CD, which the previous one (for some strange reason) wouldn't.

whew.
Date: 2002-12-26 08:16 pm (UTC)I agree with most of your casting choices, except for Robin Williams. Because I dislike Robin Williams, and would really rather the entire cast to be British. Go Britons!
Am shameless Anglophile. Don't mind me.
Re: whew.
I think this is really just a big crowd of shameless Anglophiles. XD I've got two full sets of the five-book Trilogy, so why not two copies of Good Omens? If my parents try to say anything I'll tell them it's my sorta-money to spend. (Went off into my own little world there...)

Yeah, I don't know that many British actors either. I'm just hoping they'll choose them with discretion and a certain modicum of intelligence, if the film ever does get made.

Date: 2002-12-27 05:55 pm (UTC)Part of the reason I want my own copy is due to the battering it's gone through, and will go through, being loaned out to various people I know in order to spread the joy. And the other part... was mentioned previously.
