Britspeak, etc.
22 Dec 2002 06:18 pmYou know, the more I think about it, the more "answerphone" (alternately "asnaphone") makes sense over "answering machine." From the names, you'd expect an ansaphone to answer your phone when you're gone and an answering machine to answer all your questions. So, ansaphone it is. ^_^ (We just got a combination cordless phone/ansaphone, seeing as the old of both were dead.)
Toward the end of last week there was a ribbon tied to the lamp in the "dining" room (we never actually eat in there). I kept thinking it was a balloon and trying to walk off with it. Which wouldn't have gone very well, so it's a good thing I caught myself in time. The ribbon's still there, but it doesn't look like there should be a balloon at the other end anymore.
001. Favorite band(s): Barenaked Ladies, the Who, Todd Rundgren, Talking Heads, Harry Nilsson, Peter Gabriel, the occasional Aqua, Counting Crows, far too much 80's music to try listing
002. Do you enjoy concerts? Ohhhh yeah.
003. What was the last concert you attended? The Who. In Indianapolis. The day before school started this year. It was a good idea, until I had to get up the next morning. Can we have John back, please? (I mean, the replacement's a worthy successor, but... you know.)
004. Music you couldn't live without? Lots of stuff that's older than me. And, of course, BNL.
005. Kind of music that would fall off the face of the earth and you wouldn't care nor miss it? POP!, rap, cry-into-your-beer country
006. About how many CDs do you own? ::goes to count:: 27, including those I've burned. Without those it's more like 23-ish.
007. How many CDs can your stereo hold at a time? ^_^ Five!
008. Do you have a discman? Yes, but it's BROKEN. Still kicking myself over that one. Possibly getting one for Christmas, but if I knew for sure that's ruin the surprise, wouldn't it?
009. What CD(s) could you listen to for hours? Disc One (BNL), my 80's compilation, Bill & Ted soundtrack, So (Peter Gabriel)
010. Can you sing well? Well... you won't get me in front of an audience.

Not all the wrapping's done, but the stuff for parental units and self is.
