Three posts to [livejournal.com profile] book_icons in one day. I think I've exhausted my supply, for the time being. (At the very least, until the screencap thing comes through.) Fun little community, that one.
Anyway. I got something in the mail today for A SUMMER PROGRAM IN ENGLAND. 'Programme,' I should say. But - dude. ENGLAND! If I want to go I'll definitely have to get a job. Would be worth it though. ([livejournal.com profile] afrai - will you still be there over the summer? 'Cause meeting up would be of the spiffy. That also applies to any of the British contingent, really.)
It would, unfortunately, wreck just about any chance I'd have of visiting Morgan over the summer. But the way I see it, there will be other summers for that and prolly only the one for this. And it's ENGLAND. I've wanted to go there since before I got into British humor, even.

My friend Dasha/Dassha/Xasha is doing one of them summer program thingummies at Oxford this year. For which I would like to kill her, hide the body, and pretend that I am her. But unfortunately I cannot speak Russian so that's out.

Oooh bad answer. Or it would have been if I'd been serious.

Hey, I got that brochure thingie too! Their courses look fabulous, I wish I could take them all, but I'll probably be working this summer. I just need to, you know, find a job.

And seeing all those "Hitchhiker's Guide to ____" definitely looks positive. :D

have you talked to your parents about going? i say that it's a great opportunity, and to take it up if you can. right now i'm talking to my friend jason about a trip over to paris, and while money is a huge issue over here [it'll eat up a chunk of my university of edinburgh fund], it's hard to pass it up.

let us know what happens. i think that you should really go for it.
