I have shelf space!* Verily, 'tis a miracle.
Also have A PROPER JEWELRY BOX. Jen 2 came over to cover the Christmas stuff (very belated, but still fun!), and I was just thinking this morning that I needed a jewelry box, so. yay! and suchlike. It's got celtic knot stuff going. Fun times.
I really ought to start the Research Paper of DOOM today.
Gacked from

1. How did you first find my journal?
2. Why did you originally decide to friend me?
3. What's your favourite part of my journal?
4. What's your least favourite part of my journal?
5. Ask me a question. Be as random as you want.
6. Recommend a band to me. I'm curious what you think I should be listening to.
Pass it along. Fun for everyone.
*Until I get my Pratchett books back, anyway.

Date: 2004-01-18 02:02 pm (UTC)2. Ah RPage. The ties that bind.
3. The musicality. It makes me feel ignorant but also ooomusic. (I'm weird.)
4. Having a least favorite part of a friend's journal is like having a least favorite See's Candy. I will say the PotC bits. Which are far and few between, mostly, but I can't think of anything else.
5. Do you know...the muffin man?
6. Something Corporate. 'Cos like I've said, I don't really listen to so many songs by any other one band on a regular basis. And it is a silly, silly emo band. Glee. I know my friend Jess is partly into it for the piano.

Date: 2004-01-18 02:08 pm (UTC)3) Hey, music for everyone. One of these days you'll find the stuff.
5) The muffin man?!
6) ::makes note of that:: Shall have to ask around, then.

Date: 2004-01-18 02:13 pm (UTC)3. Yes, exactly.
5. The muffin man!
6. Do. Er, they have three albums-Audioboxer, Leaving Through the Window, and North. North is newest and more professional blah blah etc but they're all good times. There are some songs that aren't available on any album, some of which are Something Corporate staples such as Konstantine and If I Die which is...weird. But whatever.
Weird lyrics available here. (http://www.azlyrics.com/s/something.html) (Pop up.)

Date: 2004-01-18 04:25 pm (UTC)2. Friendly person in a similar stage of life (hee) interested in GO, GO fic, and weird icons. Why not?
3. I am fair and objective to all parts of your journal. Well—the college-related bits are rare jewels in the land of lj, because so few people are discussing college pre-college, and I'm pre-collegiately interested in college. Any discussion of something I'm particularly interested in, really, be it college, GO, or PoTC.
4. Well, the RP stuff goes over my head, I'm afraid. (It also scares me because I barely remember most of the characters. Minor much?)
5. What's your research paper of DOOM on, and what would your ideal research paper be on?
6. I don't listen to music much. Um. Currently I'm listening to the LoTR soundtracks, mostly. And, um. How about . . . Nanase Hikaru!

Date: 2004-01-18 04:51 pm (UTC)3) Well, the college blathering is sort of by default, since it's what's going on an' suchlike. But the rest of it's fun. (Did you see the PotC icon set, by the way?)
4) I've been trying to cut down on the RPage stuff lately, since not everyone's into it. Though I'm not sure its really worked. XD (I still haven't read a good third of the books. But look at it this way - there're so many minor characters it's like you get to make them up!)
5) Standarised tests and teaching specifically to prepare for them. And why that's a bad thing, probably. As for ideal... I dunno. Prolly something on fandoms or something.
6) LotR soundtrack would be cool, yes. But the other's got me going '...?'

4) ...Consider it a poke to investigate the fandom? I dunno.
5) ::SNERK:: Prolly off-camera. (Though now I've said that, watch it turn up in the extended version...)
6) ::makes note of that::

3. Erm. Well. Um. You can't make me CHOOSE!
4. Much like I don't have a favorite, I don't have a least favorite either. Though I admit to not understanding the RP stuff.
5. What is the ultimate answer to life, the universe, and everything, and where has my spoon gone?
6. A whole *band*? Bugger. Supporting the Something Corporate rec, and in addition, either Maroon 5, Coldplay, or Vertical Horizon.

Date: 2004-01-19 07:14 pm (UTC)3) and 4) I guess that's a good thing, on the whole. (::pokes:: But I thought you were going to investigate the RPage a while back! Did you not get around to it, then?)
5) 42 (so why doesn't it answer every math problem, then?) and quite possibly the same place as the rum. I'm not sure about the latter of those questions.
6) These 'Something Corporate' people must be really good. ::makes note of that::
I've heard of Maroon 5 but I don't think I've heard any of their stuff yet, Coldplay is of course good, and I like what I've heard from Vertical Horizon (not to mention their name. The paradox!).

Date: 2004-01-19 07:24 pm (UTC)5. I am now resisting the urge to ask why my spoon is gone...
6. Not good so much as addictive, actually. If you pay close enough attention they are not very good at all, IMO. But they certainly seem like they are. And I like the other three enough to actually spend money on them, which says a lot, because I do not buy many CDs.

Date: 2004-01-19 07:42 pm (UTC)Actually there're only two original characters with journals in the whole setup. Some of the others only get like two lines in one book, so they may as well be original, but still. 'S the thought that counts, right?
Of course right.
5) Because the spoon got loaded into a cannon, probably.
6) I know how that is. Describes most '80s music. Also have spent money on Coldplay before, and considered Vertical Horizon.

Date: 2004-01-19 07:45 pm (UTC)I am nowhere near well-acquainted enough with Discworld to try and figure the whole thing out, though. So, y'know, whole thing went right over my head.
5. My SPOON! Noooo!
6. Vertical Horizon is worth spending money on. Without a doubt. Especially 'Everything You Want'.

Date: 2004-01-19 08:03 pm (UTC)5) ::shrugs:: Sorry, nothing I could do about it. At least they didn't throw it overboard beforehand, right?
6) Will keep that in mind, then.
