Oh, it's only the latest in a VERY long line of craziness. We don't plot (that) often, but when we do we go for the jugular. XD Anyway. My characters are y_celyn - that may go some way towards explaining this particular icon(ograph) of mine - and the_sensibleone (the latter being an original character). And I posted once as Ginger, from Moving Pictures, mainly because it seemed like a good idea at the time. As for more characters... well, what Ji said. We always need more. There's a request list, even. Three of the five in the main post have been taken, but there's a bunch more in the comments. Or if you've got someone in mind already, that's cool too. There's also the semi-official FAQ, though obviously the codes part no longer applies. Join the insanity! ::tempts::
Somebody's been meaning to start as Otto for a while now. Don't know why they haven't (::pointd looks at Australian contingent - isn't it another of you?::). The other two are fair game, though. (Dude! Gaspode! SO MUCH FUN.)
I forgot how important it is to stay in proper practice. Oh, dearie me. And lawks.
I've created an LJ for Nanny Ogg (lacking a proper picture, but what can you do?)...but, unfortunately, there is a problem. discworld_rpg is a closed community, and you have to contact one of the administrators to join. The contact person is bigmaddrongo, and he doesn't have an e-mail listed.
Start playing. Most of the interaction is through the individual journals and friendslists anyway. Comment with the character LJ in the community so people know you're out there. As for getting into the community... You might have to wait till next week (Ade's RPer is going on yet *another* vacation - she said she's leaving Saturday, and since she's in Australia, that might translate into this afternoon eastern-US time). If you've got something to bring up there in the meantime just hijack part of the comments in someone else's post. We're flexible. XD If you want to try the emailing thing, that's with the community info. It's probably best, in the long run.
Regrettably, I cannot start playing until LJ gets off its duff and sends me a validation e-mail. I've already requested FIVE and have yet to receive a single one.
Funny, I thought they sent those off automatically. ::shrugs:: Also haven't started an LJ since they scrapped codes, so they might be a bit bogged down at this point. Hang in there. And at any rate, the friend-of list ought to have built up some by now.
You haven't read Night Watch? Go read it, now. I am not kidding, get thee to a library. There hasn't been too awfully much spoiled yet, so you probably still have a little time.
I would, but I'm just starting my second Watch book ever, and I was hoping to get through those before I read Night Watch. I wasn't even going to read Monstrous Regiment for a while, but then I got it for my birthday, and you just don't say no to free Pratchett.
Definitely read the other Watch books first- it's not the same unless you see the way all the characters develop first. Nightwatch is my favourite Discbook, but my flatmate didn't get it because she didn't have the same knowledge of and fondness for the characters.
Guards! Guards! Men at Arms Feet of Clay Jingo The Fifth Elephant The Truth (which is mostly about newspapers but the Watch is there) The Last Hero (mostly Cohen and the Horde, but Carrot is there too) Night Watch Monstrous Regiment (mostly the regiment, but Vimes & Co. are there)

Also...you wouldn't happen to need any more players by any chance, would you?
