Which books are you reading right now?
Various school texts, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul for an English project, and In Praise of Imperfection, assuming I decide to start my physio project someday soon. (Which would really be a good idea. It's due Monday...)
When is your favourite time to read?
...Whenever, really.
Where is your favourite place to read?
Bed. Or couch. Or random pile of pillows/blankets/beanbags on floor. Almost always with background music.
What is the first book you remember reading?
::thinks:: Alexander and the Wind-Up Mouse. Still have it. Nice little book.
What is your favourite quotation?
You mean I have to pick ONE?! Have you seen all the books in my quote conglomerate?
Who is your favourite novelist?
Douglas Adams.
Which school text did you most enjoy?
Probably one of my high school history books.
What is the most difficult book you have ever read?
Either Great Expectations (which I barely finished) or The Old Man and the Sea (which I *didn't* finish).
What is the most erotic book you have read?
Don't know that I have...
Funniest book?
Good Omens. And the Hitchhiker's Trilogy. And the Dirk Gently books.
And saddest?
Where the Red Fern Grows.
Favourite kid's book?
Enchanted Forest Chronicles!
Most over-rated?
See most diffcult - that about covers it.
Most underrated book.
I read some strange stuff. Not sure I could pick one to be most underrated.
Who is your favourite character?
Crowley, War, Zaphod Beeblebrox... ack, my mind's blanking...
Which characters do you hate most?
*Heathcliff.* Then again, he earns it for himself. And Rainbird (from Firestarter) flat-out scares me.
With which character do you most identify?
I honestly don't know. Probably Cimorene (from the Enchanted Forest Chronicles).
With which character would you most like to have an affair?
o.O
Who would be your ideal literary dining companions?
...You prolly don't want me to answer that. Let's just say it would NOT be a dull party.
What is the worst screen adaptation?
The end of Firestarter. No, no, no!
Name three desert island choices?
Good Omens, Hitchhiker's Guide... and probably one of my Calvin and Hobbes collections.
What is your favourite poem?
Poetry doesn't sit well with my stomach.
Which book changed your life?
Hitchhiker's Guide radio scripts. Finally, some hope for British lit!
Which book would you make compulsory reading?
Oh, if you were to ask my friends how many books I've hearily recommended to them...
Well, that only took forever. :b
Somebody enlighten me here. If guys on sports teams, particularly guys on football teams, seem to be some of the most homophobic people on this planet, WHY do they constantly slap each other's arses? I just don't get it.
I'm not trying out, since this is a musical, but I still have to get one so they know I want to help backstage. While I was filling it out all these sarcastic comebacks came to mind, and I hust *had* to write them down. But I spared the collectors and am instead sharing with you:
*Your "attached sheet" is actually on the other side of this. Not to mention it's what most people saw first.
*HEIGHT?! Why's that so important all of a sudden?
*Well, I can read music, but since I'm not trying out and I don't plan to help you with the music I don't think that's an issue.
*A straight *week* of big rehearsals or performances. Gee, I really do hope no one involved has any big tests then.
*I'm sure you think two off rehearsals is being generous or something. Am I meant to come in with mono? (Hypothetically speaking, that.)
*The way it says "cast members may also check blanks" makes it sound like you've already picked some of them. Perhaps you'd like to rephrase that? (Side note: The blanks in question were for random backstage-help-things.)
*One more thing: I know you'd love to have the drama class involved with this, but if they "by some miracle" land ALL the major roles here, I rescind my involvement.
Now, before any of you theatre people yell at me, I have some perspective as to how the business works. I just had some sarcasm to get out, and this seemed better than scrawled all over my audition sheet. The schedule bit is why I like one-acts better - since you're only a third of the overall entertainment, you don't have to work as hard.

Actually...two...
I always thought it was a way to emphasize their masculinity. As in, I'm so damn macho that I can slap another man's behind. Of course, the arse may be the only place on a football player's uniform that isn't covered up by protective gear, so they might slap arses to congratulate each other since no one would feel a pat on the shoulder. ::shrug::
