the weather's being scary again!
17 Nov 2003 03:17 pmThere was fog this morning and it didn't go away until noon and the librarian just had to say it was getting thicker when she got to school this morning, didn't she, and we watched a video of rehearsal in drama class and it didn't help that I knew it was only me 'cause fog SERIOUSLY creeps me out these days (you might've guessed) and anyway that didn't help in the book...
And really, saying 'it's just a book' isn't enough help, considering it's a Discworld book and therefore you never know. Got through it by virtue of the tape having sound. I mean, really, today was just not movie weather.
Anyway. Wound up with the afternoon off, but I'm still at school (Mom has a meeting). People probably think I'm weird for spazzing over fog, but I'm justified in my spazzage. (And odds are they thought I was weird already. XD)

Date: 2003-11-17 06:30 pm (UTC)It's just... I dunno. Let's call it a testament to Terry Pratchett's writing skills, since all the spazzage is due to Moving Pictures.

Date: 2003-11-17 07:50 pm (UTC)More praise for Terry Pratchett! Hurrah! Dan's halfway through Soul Music and he doesn't seem to care about Pterry's teeth anymore.
Just his genius.
Ahahahahaha.

And eventually, in frustration, "He's English."
Which, you know, worked, but still...shame on me. Shame by the bucket.
Do you? Soul Music has not been with me for many moons. (Since August.)
I like the phrase 'many moons.'

Date: 2003-11-17 08:01 pm (UTC)My copy's been out since September. (And the point of the quiz is to get people to reread, so I'm just not checking answers on the ones I haven't read yet.) But... really. All the band names are one of the best bits in the book, and they're not on the DVD! (Among other things, but we've covered that...)
