::snerk:: two: Dad and I were watching the Soul Music DVD last night (note to self: that goes back tomorrow), and I wondered aloud if you'd really want tap water in Ankh-Morpork, since that's mentioned in there. He countered with, "So is that where Jesus walked on the water?"

*A friend of my parents', henceforth known as Lady Phred (that's a long story in itself). Some of the Very Local people might know what's up in this regard, since the story was in the papers (but obviously with her real name) - she had cancer a few years ago, they thought they got it all, it's now back.
And it's in her pelvis and a couple other places down there, so she's in pain in every position known to mankind.
This just sucks, you know? ::sends, as a follow-up sort of thing to the spaghetti delivery Sunday::
::also sends good karma to anyone who might need it::

Having been through cancer (albeit a different type) when I was younger, the cause is a rather personal one to me.

Both have good karma coming from me. I hope it helps!

Closest library system has: No Pratchett DVDs. Damn that library system!
Second closest: Wyrd Sisters. Hmm.
Berkeley: Have yet to check but if they don't have Soul Music I shall be upset indeed...

Am very willing to poke. Where would this poking take place? Just randomly in her journal? Like, "Hey, I don't know you, and this post is actually about lima beans but JOIN THE RPG!" stuff?

Not entirely at random. She's got a post where she say sshe's reading Monstrous Regiment, and I commented on that, and she said she's considering joining, and it all went from there. (Have been sending some heavy-duty tempting her way, myself. XD) Just I'd like someone to back me up is all.
What the school library lacks in Pratchett*, they make up for in Douglas Adams. And Tolkien. And the Georgia Nicolson books (which, if nothing else, are good for a laugh).
