fic archiving wheeee!
14 Aug 2003 10:15 pmBut first, in the OSX department: Photoshop and documents successfully relocated, though I haven't yet tested the former. OSX seems to be steadily ignoring the printer, however, which will get to be quite the pain in the arse come school (which I am fervently denying is in a week and a half HELP!).
Anyway. On to that which was in the subject. Haven't yet posted anything to the site, but that's for varying reasons. 1) I'm waiting to see whether I can link one set of stuff, and 2) paging
twitchycat - does the ficlet with the mouse have a name yet?
Considered joining
magic_project but decided against it. One RPG is really quite enough to be dealing with once school gets going. This year I won't have maths to slack off on (huzzah!), but I'm sure I'll come up with a replacement. XD (Oh, and Morgan - I asked the person in charge, and AIM is preferred but not required. Since you were wondering as well, I thought I'd let yu know.)

Date: 2003-08-14 08:00 pm (UTC)Ignoring printer? Okay, what kind of printer is it? Depending on the printer it is, you can go to the manufacturer's website and see if they have driver updates for it. However OSX usually comes with drivers for just about every printer, so.
Go into the Utilities folder (probably in Applications) and go to Print Center. There's a spiffy little button that says Add Printer. You get a window that has a drop-down menu of networks and whatnot - depending on how your printer is hooked up. Likely you are using USB so select that and your printer should show up and tell you if the driver's installed. If it's not, then just go download it from the manu site and install and then add it and you're money. :)
*hugs*

Date: 2003-08-14 08:08 pm (UTC)...Oh, is that where the stuff was lurking? I'll have to investigate.
::investigates::
For a blessed larke. It knows the printer's there but it says "unsupp.....rinter" (I guess that's all it has space for). I guess we'll have to go back to OS9 every time we want something printed, then.
You're a lifesaver anyway. Thank you!!
