NO idea who this one is, but (a) I never did catch up on MI before leaving (oops) and (b) there're so many characters in this thing it's really not that surprising:

Which Immortal are you? Take the Heavenly Chaos quiz and find out!

(I'd link to the stories except I'm too lazy to dig the links up. XD Quite frankly I was hoping for Met anyway, but this is what happens when you answer honestly.)

I've had about enough of rain for the rest of the year, as was hinted at in the post previous. Between minor sprinkling in Tennessee and a bloody TORNADO going by the hotel in Vermont, it rained everywhere we went. Even Canada.
First day was lots of license plates (as mentioned) and walking around on the New York side of Niagra Falls. Very loud up there. And wet, though the rain wasn't till the next day.
So next morning we decided to go across the pedestrian-bridge wossname ([livejournal.com profile] morsmordre might know what I'm talking about, since that's up near Toronto) and over to Canada just to say we've been. Discovered during customs that Mom forgot her driver's license. And it started pouring after about five minutes, so really all we had time to appreciate was the poncho sales in a souvenir shop. XD
Afternoon drive to Vermont, aforementioned tornado went past and then landed in the Catskills (I mean, really...). Looked at college next morning. Bennington's a neat place and all, but it's even smaller than my high school (quite an achievement, donchaknow) and a little too isolated to be of much help, so.
Afternoon drive to Massachusetts, Mount Holyoke the next morning. Is sounding much cooler now I've been there.
Jeez, it's already blurring... I think that afternoon was driving to New York. Sarah Lawrence is still waaaay up there in the prospective list thingy.
New York City... my GOD that place is nuts. I don't think we ever made it out of Manhattan and we still didn't get to everything. Very much of the subway usage, ate in Little Italy twice, got a hot dog from one of those vendor guys, saw RENT on Broadway... stuff, you know? We were going to go up the Empire State Building but the line was positively lunatic - we were in it for 40 minutes and the sign-thing said another hour or so, including time after getting tickets. For a larke* and all that.
Obligatory Met (the art museum, that is) stop, since last time Mom was there pretty much all she saw was the cafe. We barely saw half of it and we were there for at least five hours (by the end of which I just wanted to sit down and eat, dammit.). But I can say I've been on the set of a movie! (Please Don't Eat the Pictures. Old Sesame Street movie where they all get stuck in the museum overnight and there's that random Egyptian kid with the invisible cat. The end of the movie's mostly on that reconstructed temple. Haven't watched it since I was eight or nine, incidentally, but we've still got it. Mostly due to that.)
After the weekend, drove to Virginia (insane drivers and sudden reduction of twelve lanes to TWO in Maryland). Washington and Lee next morning... eh. Nice place but a little too Greek for my tastes. Felt like you had to be in a fraternity or sorority to have a social life at all. Not my speed, thanks.
Afternoon drive to Williamsburg (Lucas, if we'd been around for more than two nights I'd've tried to work out a visit, but what can you do?). William and Mary was... interesting. And wet. And with the abundance of holly I felt like it was a walking tour of Llamedos (< /Soul Music joke >). Walked around Williamsburg a bit afterward. Hit the campus store, wherein I bought something I needed to read for school (read it in Florida, it was full of stupid people) and Neverwhere (bloody devoured it, all those crossovers make sense now, Mom's reading it now. And she quite liked the author picture on the back. XD).
Drove to Savannah next day (that's when I read most of Neverwhere). Their Riverwalk-thingy is nice, but on the whole I think I liked the one in San Antonio better. Did the trolley tour wossname to see a lot of buildings in 90 minutes, and as soon as we got off to walk somewhere it rained on us. I mean, really, we at least had the Canadian ponchos along in Williamsburg.
How Small the World Is: You know I've mentioned my insane aunt a couple times? Her (pretty much former) siblings-in-law (well, one of them... you know what I mean) were on Dad's mail route for a while and then moved to Savannah, so Dad called them when we got there and we went out to dinner with them the second night. Cool people. (Can we keep them and lose the aunt? PLEASE?)
Then... (very wet) drive to Sanibel. Same as it ever was. Except we didn't go to the Bubble Room 'cause rumor has it the foor there sucks now (sonotfair), but oh well. The last three days straight I had to hurry down to the free-breakfast setup and beat the weather back to the hotel room. Made it every time, though! XD
Saw the tail end of Dogma on evening (I think I'll have to see the rest now...), and a couple other movies. You know how it is. Also got my Match Game fix.
"Chantilly Lace" was background music at one of the restaurants, so that joke makes sense now. Not a bad song, actually. And considering my normal outlook on music from that era that's saying a lot.
Played a game of pool at the hotel last night (Atlanta). Have completely lost whatever progress I managed to make last (first!) time I played, that being May of last year.
...Know what? That's nearly an hour's worth typing. I think the insane theory or so will have to wait.

*For a larke (as in buggre alle this) is my new favorite expression of frustration. I understand it and will be able to pull it off in the event of classrooms.

Morgan - you said you want an icon? Let me know the particulars, I'll see what I can do.

You're back? You're back! =D

No, that's okay. Someone made it for me, so all is good. *points to loverly, spoilery R/S icon above* Now I just need to get rid of the layout I had when I used Lolita as a default icon.

You were in Georgia... and you didn't stop by? Oh, my feelings are so hurt now. *mock sob* If you're ever this way again, try to go through Ft. O., you know where I work, and it's not hard to find me. It's on one of the two main roads, after all. Also, my sister lived in Savvanah for a few years. I've never been, myself, but from what I hear, it's really nice.

Heh. I figured that you'd like it, of course. Although, I'm really quite surprised that you haven't commented on the quote...

Woo! I hope you can swing by, then. And I *will* show you some of Slayers TRY. And take you to McKays so you can get cheap videos, music, and books. *-* I adore that place.

Of course she's bringing him back. No body, no death! That's how it goes in fiction. Besides, I still stand by my belief that it was nothing more than a way to very dramaticaly introduce something important to a later book.

Slayers has it's own resurections. From a resurction spell (that only Sypheil, I think, is able to properly cast), to reincarnation, to, well... It'd be one huge spoiler (a series of spoilers, actually) for the ending of Slayers NEXT. So I'll only tell if you want to know before you can watch any of hte series.

Very common theme in fiction. I guess because no one wants to think that endings really have to be endings. *shrugs*

And it is, isn't it? Also an incentive to get my own. So I can take you to McKays myself rather than hoping Mom's off.

Yay, you're back! Did you have a good trip?
And, you did the test! You're the first person to get Fee, so that's good. He's pretty cool, one of my favourites. Did you look at the "all results" page?

Everyone told me I'm going to hell in a handcart when they saw the results for Jesus. ^ ^; I must say I have to agree with them, but... is this necessarily a BAD thing? Luce'd be there. Belphegor'd be there. *smirk*

Heh, smitey smite smite. One of my friends told me that making Jesus' favourite colour pink was the worst thing I had ever done, and surpassed even slashing God. And jesus, for that matter. Then she sniggered.

Just as well. If I'm going to go to Hell, at least I entertain myself and the masses on the way! ^ ^

Yay, you're back!

-What did you think of "Rent"?
-My existentialism TA was a junior at Sarah Lawrence, and he loves it. Plus it's about twenty minutes from my house (I went to preschool there), so if you want any info, I can put you two in touch or something. He was awesome.
-I saw Don't Eat The Pictures! I loved that movie, though I used to get a little scared. I was little. Shhh.
