Meme time again, this time the one with the icons.
jediknightmuse gave me a handful to talk about, and I thought I should actually post the meme to my own journal for a change. XD

This is from... a random video that was put out to promote RENT-the-film. I was a little disappointed when there was nothing to match this in the movie itself, because... well, Anthony Rapp! He cleans up well. I forget why I made it my default icon, but I haven't seen any reason to change it yet.

My collection of people-filming-things icons is nowhere near as big as my collection of people-pointing-at-stuff icons (I have a ton of those). Anyway. More RENT here (and on the icon I'm using to post this); I did a string of 'RENT lyrics and Daria screencaps,' once upon a time, and am still using a few. The scene in this case is from "Monster," when Daria and Jane are filming Quinn for a school project and bust into her room first thing in the morning.
(As for the icon attached to the post: "Fizz Ed," in which corporate sponsorship takes a turn for the worst and the cheerleaders get new soda-can uniforms.)

This, as it happens, is a misquote, but I'm probably never going to fix it. It's from one of a few routines done by The Swordsmen, who go to the local Renaissance festival every year (and we've been going long enough that they know who I am). Prior to this, Guido instructs the audience in proper gentlefolkly greetings, and then has them demonstrate for Dirk: "How's the day going?" "Damn fine, thanks!"
And then they tell the children Never To Curse. XD I heart these guys, and the line has more application than just my RenFest squee, so.
RENT again. I don't use this much (it mostly seems to come up when I go 'hey, AIDS research breakthrough, ain't it cool?'), but it's a good one to have around.

A line from one of the last logs I did in
discworld_rpg, before we all got variously eaten by other games and/or Real Life. I don't use it or the couple of 'my fandom...' icons I made about the game very much these days, but I can't bear to pull them out of rotation. This one has more occasions for use than the other two, since it's a good GRR ARGH WINTER icon in a pinch.

The crocs are my favorite part of Pearls Before Swine, partly because they do stuff like wear both eyepatches at once.
Copy-editing gig continues apace, and has a way of making me think. Otherwise, things aren't terribly exciting here. Far as reading goes, I'm up to The Last Olympian and still very much loving the Percy.
