*Crystal, Dad wants to talk to you; give him a call, if you have time?
*Alphabet meme is still open!
*Two interviews in one sitting, Tuesday. I'm waiting for them to go through the rest of the interview pool, but I was the best of the best so far (and... also the first) as of the other day. XD Here's hoping.
*I know what I want in a Dr. Horrible ringtone, now: the first chorus of So They Say. Bouncy, ear-catching, and with a lovely twist at the end if it's allowed to finish. XD
*Icon meme, via [livejournal.com profile] misslucyjane:

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

A line from something [livejournal.com profile] tammaiya was writing, once upon a time. It amused me, so I made an icon. I may be deleting this one soon, as the joke has lost its urgency and I never use it.

So I've only managed to read the one Dark Tower book? But the original line flew around Milliways a hell of a lot, and I ended up parodying it. It's one of my 'hey look, I'm writing!' icons.

A line from Villains By Necessity, and one of several moments in the book that made me laugh out loud. There's a centaur with claustrophobia issues, and the sorceress offers to charm something to make it stop. One presumes the centaur doesn't actually know what 'placebo' means, as he never comments (though the badass knight guy finds it hilarious).

...another icon I never use anymore, and another one that is [livejournal.com profile] tammaiya's fault, but I can't quite bear to part with it. It's a [livejournal.com profile] discworld_rpg joke; the original picture was Adrian Turnipseed's main icon. He had a fan club, both IC and OOC.

Discworld joke applied to Potterverse. 'The Truth Shall Make Ye Fred' is one of many misprints that finds its way to the Ankh-Morpork Times' masthead in The Truth. (My favorite might be 'the truth shall make ye fret.')
