minkhollow: view from below a copper birch at Mount Holyoke (rpgs will eat your brain...)
From the midst of a flame war (well... kinda) comes some really funny fic. Religious humor. Gotta love it.
Lovely, lovely days off. No drama, no driver's ed, short day at school even... I could get used to this. Pity it doesn't happen more often.
And on the RPage front, it's starting to look like my patience might pay off after all. Still haven't decided just how to reply, but I'm working on it.
minkhollow: (holy wood magic)
And hey, this time the lyric-quoteage is kinda related to what I have to say...
So after dinner Mom's poking around travel sites, and I'm sitting around waiting for her to hand over the computer. Something outside goes 'pop.' I look out the front windows... don't really see anything. A few minutes later, we hear another one, still with no clue as to the source. Dad sends me outside to close his car windows; by this point, there's a truck with red flashing lights on top stopped in front of a house across the street and down a few from ours.
I actually go outside and HOLY CRAP THERE'S A FIRE IN THEIR GARAGE! Which explains the popping noises quite nicely, really, not to mention the flashing lights (more of which turned up in rather short order). It got pretty big about three minutes after we figured the fire bit out, but luckily the gas tank in the car that was IN the garage didn't explode.
So. That made for an interesting evening.
