I just have to hope no one else wants to read it. XD (Could read it on my own, as Dad has a copy. And if someone else claims it I could always read the weird-arse rhinoceros thing.) Man, that subtext rocks beyond all measure. Some of the guys from my English class last year would have a bloody field day with that stuff - they were all over the subtext in Frankenstein. (That was as close to on-topic as we got all year, I think.) I guess it can fit any situation, but Victorian lit in particular. Only Charles Dickens can make a twelve-page story feel like three hundred. ...Well, and maybe Hemingway. Any rate, they're both Cesspool of Suck.
