I wanted to let you know that I'm loving Villains by Necessity. I think one of my favorite parts is how Robin seems to have wandered in from the wrong book and is so confused. He tries to understand but he's just not really equipped to understand his companions, which makes him a rather bad spy.
At this point, they're in the dragon's tower and just set off the dwarven traps. It's a fantastic read and I love how it riffs on things in its own way. Since some of the riffs remind me of Diana Wynne Jones in Dark Lord of Derkholm and Pratchett but never enough to pull me out. Instead it's that sense of oh that's an interesting way of doing things.
